drupal module
We have been considering the following modules as the first candidates for the new site:
- adsense
- adsense_injector
- akismet
- diggthis
- google_analytics
- gsitemap
- nodewords
- pathauto
- relatedlinks
- spam
- tagadelic
- taxonomy_breadcrumb
- tinymce
- update_status
- addtofavorites
The are many more in our list. Basically, we intend to install them one by one and to test on our developement/staging site before implementing on production site.
- Editor's blog
- Login or register to post comments
- by Editor
It would be very nice if TinyMCE editor to make posting on this site easier.
Also User Profile, Digg, MyBlogLog, Related Content, Spam and other useful modules should be installed ASAP
- user2's blog
- Login or register to post comments
- Need to check how to integrate the Avatar picture for Users
- Would it be better to allow viewing User's Profile by clicking the username in the content header (near "posted by )
- Site header: Logo image, site name, slogan, mission, footer
- Menu's (including "Primary links") design: potentially main categories may be exposed as menus
- Add "About" page (based on Techcrunch.com)
- List of modules to install:
- Spam (and Akismet)
- Captcha (and Riddler)
- AdSense (and related)
- Five Star (or something to vote Up/Down)
One of the first Drupal contrib modules implemented on this site was the Pathauto module. The reason for that was that it is probably (not sure whether this could have been done at the later stage) better that all the contnet that is created on the site will have proper search friendly URL aliases.
Here is a brief description of the Pathauto module:
This is a test for the Pathauto module to automatically create URL alias for the static page.
The rest of this static page is produced by the Lorem Ipsum generator.
