Editor's picture

John Reese has just released a new service – BlogRush – offering a special BlogRush Widget.

The following steps describe how to install BlogRush Widget on a Drupal site as a Block:

BlogRush Widget

  • If you look closer at the bottom of the BlogRush widget you will notice that it says "Add your Blog Posts – FREE" and has a little white tab containing the BlogRush logo. If you click on either of those areas, you will be taken to the BlogRush site where you can sign-up for a free account
  • After completing Sign-up, visit the BlogRush members, click Get Code menu button and copy the code to your clipboard
  • Go back to your Drupal site and login with the appropriate account permissions allowing you to add a new Block
  • Select Administer->Site building->Blocks (/admin/build/block)
  • Select "Add block" option (tab)
  • Enter "BlogRush Widget" (or something similar) as Block description
  • Paste the BlogRush Widget code (previously copied from the BlogRush site) from your clipboard
  • Select "Input format" option choose "Full HTML" option (radio button)
  • Click "Save block" button
  • Find the newly created Block in the list and assign it appropriate Region and Weight values

Congratulations! You should now have your new BlogRush Widget installed on your Drupal blog site.
