John Reese has just released a new service – BlogRush – offering a special BlogRush Widget.

The following steps describe how to install BlogRush Widget on a Drupal site as a Block:

This is a test for the newly created vocabulary with hierarchies of terms.
Use "View Page Source" to see which meta-tag description and keywords are used. Also try to understand what's the role of the synonyms in Terms definition. Is this used to identify related terms or related nodes?

We have been considering the following modules as the first candidates for the new site:

  • adsense
  • adsense_injector
  • akismet
  • diggthis
  • google_analytics
  • gsitemap
  • nodewords
  • pathauto
  • relatedlinks
  • spam
  • tagadelic
  • taxonomy_breadcrumb
  • tinymce
  • update_status
  • addtofavorites

The are many more in our list. Basically, we intend to install them one by one and to test on our developement/staging site before implementing on production site.

Meta tags module , a.k.a. "nodewords", allows setting some meta tags for each node, view or panels page. Meta tags is the preferred name.

Giving more attention to the important keywords and/or description on some of the nodes allows getting better search engine positioning (given that you really only provide the keywords which exist in the node body itself, and do not try to lie).

It would be very nice if TinyMCE editor to make posting on this site easier.
Also User Profile, Digg, MyBlogLog, Related Content, Spam and other useful modules should be installed ASAP

One of the first Drupal contrib modules implemented on this site was the Pathauto module. The reason for that was that it is probably (not sure whether this could have been done at the later stage) better that all the contnet that is created on the site will have proper search friendly URL aliases.

Here is a brief description of the Pathauto module:
